Women'srightsrefertothefundamentalfreedomsandentitlementsclaimedforwomenandgirlsworldwide.Theserightsincludelegal,social,andeconomicequalitywithmen,suchastherighttovote,work,receiveequalpay,accesseducation,ownproperty,andlivefreefromviolenceanddiscrimination.Thewomen'srightsmovementhasevolvedovercenturies,addressingissueslikesuffrage,reproductiverights,workplaceequality,andgender-basedviolence.Whilesignificantprogresshasbeenmade,challengesremaininachievingfullgenderequalityacrossallsocieties.InternationalframeworksliketheUNConventionontheEliminationofAllFormsofDiscriminationAgainstWomen(CEDAW)continuetoguideglobaleffortstowardwomen'sempowermentandequalrights.
